learning platform the international agency for research on cancer (iarc) has launched the biobank learning platform, a freely accessible resource that provides learning and training material for form. who/euro-iarc workshop “implementation of cancer screening programmes” ( 16-17 january 2019 ) in iarc (lyon, france) is gathering professionals involved in decision making related to cancer screening at national or regional levels from cis and eastern european countries. the workshop is the first of a series lead by the who regional office for europe and addressing screening for ncds and it aims to understand cancer screening principles, the harms and benefits of cancer screening and quality assurance within cancer screening programmes and to discuss political decision-making related organizing a training course “statistical practice in epidemiology using r” on 14-20 june 2018. this 6-day course is targeting epidemiologists and statisticians willing to use r for statistical modelling and analysis of epidemiological data. the course requires basic knowledge of epidemiological concepts and study types for applying. there will only be briefly reviewed, whereas the more
